QNY’s Towering Addition to Broadbeach Skyline Approved

The green light has been given to a towering addition to the Broadbeach skyline on the Gold Coast, with a bird’s-eye view of the local bowls club.
South-East Queensland developer QNY, led by Anthony Quinn, has won approval for a $120-million highrise a block back from the beach.
Under the approved plans, it will rise 25 storeys from a 582sq m corner site at 162 Surf Parade, opposite the Broadbeach Bowls Club.
The scheme designed by Brisbane-based architecture studio Carr comprises 31 apartments, including a double-storey four-bedroom penthouse, 14 full-floor three or four-bedroom units, and 16 half-floor two-bedroom apartments.
To be known as Camilla, work is slated to begin on the proposed development in the third quarter next year.
QNY director Anthony Quinn said Camilla was designed “to feel like a sanctuary” with integrated wellness amenities, including a bathhouse-inspired retreat featuring pools, cabanas, a spa, steam room, sauna, gym, outdoor lounges and alfresco dining spaces.
“Every detail has been carefully considered to balance privacy, openness and connection to the natural environment,” he said.

The project—targeting local downsizers, interstate migrants and international buyers—is QNY’s second collaboration with Carr.
Nearby, construction is advancing on the 20-level No. 21 Broadbeach—a joint venture between QNY and Glenvill Developments at 21 Broadbeach Boulevard.
Carr director Stephen McGarry said Camilla’s slender form drew inspiration from its coastal setting, with “textured masonry, warm earthy tones and concrete details that feel grounded and timeless”.
Four basement levels will provide 45 parking spaces for residents’ vehicles.
