Pikos Group Files Plans for 34-Storey ‘Champagne Flute’ Tower at Newstead

A champagne flute-inspired tower with a distinct French twist is slated for Newstead as developer Pikos Group pumps up its pipeline in the booming inner-north Brisbane precinct.
The 34-storey tower proposal would deliver 305 apartments, including the introduction of pied-à-terre units—an 18th-century French housing concept.
The literal translation of the phrase is “foot on the ground” and in a real estate sense it was first used to describe small, private apartments kept by Europe’s country-dwelling upper classes.
