Tower Planned for ‘Long-Time Vacant Southport Site

Tower plans have been filed for a “historically vacant” site in the Southport CBD on the Gold Coast amid renewed activity within its priority development area.
The 19-storey proposal comprises 70 apartments and four levels of podium carparking.
Earmarked for an 810sq m site at 24-26 Welch Street, it has been filed by GCD Group and designed by BDA Architecture to capture views of the Broadwater and the city’s coastline.
