The buyers of homes on a north Brisbane estate have launched a class action against the developer of the project after its builder collapsed halfway through construction.
Off-the-plan buyers of Stages 3, 4 and 5 of the Summerlin Estate at Banyo, a project by Melbourne-based developer Dennis Family Corporation, had their contracts terminated after the builder of the development, PPS Commercial, entered liquidation in mid-2024.
Plans for the wider six-stage, $100-million Summerlin Estate were initially filed with the Brisbane City Council in 2015 for a 3.16ha site off Ivedon Street, a former light industrial precinct next to Nudgee train station.
