The Urban Developer Commits to Hike for Homeless

The property industry is always interested in the numbers.

Well, tonight, 120,000 young Australians will be without a safe and secure place to sleep.

Availability of accommodation plays an important role in this widespread issue of homelessness and one in three young people who ask for a place to sleep will be turned away.

The Urban Developer founder and chief executive Adam Di Marco has joined forces with the Property Industry Foundation to take on the ancient volcanic terrain of Queensland’s Scenic Rim to raise funds to build 300 bedrooms by 2025.

“This is a partnership we’re incredibly proud of and an initiative that we are extremely keen to get behind,” Di Marco said.

He joins fellow industry peers Todd Pepper (Alceon), Michael Loney (Ausbuild), Emma Clements (Inertia), Annabelle Aland (Allens) and Riye Arai-Coupe (Bluebird), among others, for the trek through south-east Queensland’s Great Dividing Range in April, 2024.

Funds raised will be donated to the Property Industry Foundation’s Haven House project.
