Data centres have become big business for the development and construction industry in Australia.
According to BCI Central there are 57 active data centre projects across Australia, worth a combined $34.7 billion.
But more than three-quarters of those projects are in the design and documentation phase, forecasting a glut of work for construction firms specialising in the alternative asset class.
