Slab to Home in 20 Days: Metricon’s Mainstream Modular Materialises
Australia’s largest volume home builder Metricon has completed its first pre-fabricated home pilot, at Truganina in Victoria.
The job went from slab pour to building completion in just 20 days, proving up the concept that pre-fabricated construction can be integrated into a volume-building model.
Metricon chief executive Brad Duggan said Australia needed to adopt construction innovation in order to address housing shortages.
