Ben Hamblett, NSW & QLD Associate Director for Ausin Group’s project marketing division said, “The 28 will bring city chic to Fortitude Valley. It is a high-end premium development located approximately one kilometre from the CBD that will capture the attention of young couples, single professionals and astute investors. The Baxter Street precinct is undergoing significant gentrification with several new cafes, shopping precincts and businesses opening in the area.”
Brisbane-based developer DevCorp is responsible for bringing this project to market. The development includes three levels of basement, a five level podium with a ten level tower above, as well as 166 residential, visitor and retail carpark spaces. On the ground level retail tenancies and the stylish residential lobby activate both Baxter Street and Hadlow Lane.
“The 28 is a timeless piece of architecture with a clean and contemporary design that sits comfortably within the Fortitude Valley neighborhood,” said John Flynn, Director of Conrad Gargett.
“A horizontal and vertical serrated form wrap around the podium and tower which is combined with a textured façade supported by zig-zag balconies with solid and glazed panels, intertwining like steps to compliment exterior features. White brickwork commands attention at the base around the podium which is capped with a pergola. A black and white palette has been used inside and out to support the striking façade.”
“A vast yet private resident recreation area activates the roof top to create the building’s skyline signature. A landscaped resident’s recreation area is provided on the tower roof which features a 15 metre swimming pool, barbeque, dining area, outdoor theatre and shaded recreation spaces.”
Prices start at $438,000 for a one bed apartment (59m2 to 81m2) and two bed options start from $530,500 (73m2 to 107m2). The podium area accommodates 39 apartments with a further 100 apartments in the tower, which is set back to Baxter Street creating large terraces to the apartments on top of the podium.
